Our Mission...

...Is to assure that a mutually enjoyable and sound relationship is established between the dog and his family.

Our methods are not the traditional bring your dog to class and make him sit-stay. We do not have large groups of dogs and people marching around in circles. Our goal is to teach you to understand why your dog behaves the way he does, how he perceives others and why he relates to them the way he does, and to sit- stay.

Our Responsibility...

We believe that every person, every child, every dog, and every family have qualities and characteristics unique to them and that we, as the instructors, have the responsibility to find the most successful method of communicating with our two legged and four legged students.

We accomplish this goal by teaching you how to communicate with your pet and understand his behavior.

Our job is to teach you, your family and your pets how to relate to each other in the family group. We achieve this with written material, classroom instruction, and individual sessions with you (your family) and your dog(s).

Our method is simply to evaluate every situation and use whatever methods are needed to teach the pets and the owners to respond positively to each other. We have trained thousands of pets and their owners, in thirty plus years. We understand all methods of training and use whatever is appropriate for the personality of the owner and the pet.

We may use treats and toys to gain a dogs attention and to motivate him and encourage him to perform basic commands and tricks. We may use a “clicker” to capture desirable behavior. But the treat, clicker, or squeak toy would do nothing for the Rottweiller or Chow that is in the middle of the dinner table laying claim to your steak.
